Tonight: A few showers could pass over the Baton Rouge metro, but the rain will be light. Skies will be cloudy otherwise. Winds will be easterly at 5-15 mph. Low near 69.
Tomorrow: More showers are expected to move through the southeastern portion of the state, and this, again, is a result of Tropical Storm Beta. Rain will be light to moderate, but some heavy pockets are possible. Temperatures will be a lot cooler with highs only in the mid 70s. Winds will be easterly at 10-15 mph, but gusts could exceed 30 mph. High near 77.
Extended: More showers are forecast over the coming days, and according to the Weather Prediction Center, 1.5 to 2.5 inches are possible over the next one to three days, but across the state, higher totals are likely over the next seven days. There is the potential for heavy rain, especially during the second half of the week, so flash flooding will be a concern. Expect gusty winds as well.
