Tonight: Scattered showers are possible tonight, but skies will be partly cloudy otherwise. It will be a little windy outside with winds out of the northeast at 10-20 mph. Temperatures will be warmer than average with lows in the mid 70s. Low near 74.
Tomorrow: Expect heavy rain, thunderstorms and tropical-storm-force winds throughout the day as we prepare for Tropical Storm Cristobal. Right now, it looks like the eye of the storm will move to land tomorrow before midnight, and the track looks to be around Grand Isle. Still, we are a day out, and the track can shift. Some areas could experience flooding, so make sure that you know your risk. Move any loose belongings indoors. Winds will be northeasterly at 25-30 mph, but gusts could be much higher.
Extended: Heavy rain, thunderstorms and tropical winds will continue on Monday. Make sure to stay weather aware. On Tuesday, our rain chances decrease significantly. There is a slight chance for showers in the area, but skies will be partly cloudy otherwise. We could see showers on Wednesday as well, but after that, the week will be warm and mostly dry.
