WATCH: Strong to severe storms possible Wednesday night

Potential Risks: Heavy rain, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Hail will also be a potential threat. Rainfall amounts look to be between 1-2″ with locally higher amounts over 2″. Heavy rain in a short amount of time may lead to some localized flash flooding in low-lying areas.

Timing: Isolated strong storms will be possible this evening before a main line of thunderstorms moves in from the west late tonight. The current timing looks to be from 9 PM – 3 AM for our area. The line may speed up or slow down – so give or take an hour or two.

It will be MUCH colder on Christmas Eve morning. Click here for the full forecast.

How to Prepare: Be sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts tonight – especially ones that will wake you up! Secure any loose holiday decor. Brush up on your severe weather safety plan – know where your safe place is and be sure it is ready for you, your family, and your pets.
