Tonight: It will be a fairly quiet night. There is a small chance for an isolated shower. Skies will be partly cloudy otherwise. Temperatures will again be above average overnight, and it will feel muggy. Winds will be light out of the northwest. Low near 76.
Tomorrow: There is the chance for scattered showers and storms mainly in the afternoon, so we are not looking at a washout. We are looking at another hot and sticky day. Highs will be in the mid 90s with partly cloudy skies. Heat indices will be in the triple digits. Make sure to practice heat safety by limiting time outdoors and staying hydrated. Winds will be light out of the north. High near 94.
Extended: Tuesday will be a lot like Monday. It will be sweltering with highs in the mid 90s, and there is the chance for scattered showers. Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly dry outside with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Showers will return over the weekend, but the forecast is unclear at this time. We are monitoring a disturbance in the southern Gulf that has the chance to develop into a tropical cyclone over the weekend. This could lead to heavy rain and damaging winds depending on where that system tracks. Be sure to have a game plan, and follow along for updates.
