Tonight – Anticipate another mild and muggy night with minimal clouds. Lows near 74.
Tomorrow – Skies will be partly cloudy. An occasional thunderstorm is possible. Heat indices will jump 100° again. Highs near 91.
Extended – We got back to typical mid-July after a short break with Hurricane Barry. As we approach the weekend, thunderstorm coverage will likely increase as the Bermuda High begins to nudge east. Storms are not expected to be severe; however, one or two strong thunderstorms are possible. A rare summer cold front arrives late Tuesday into Wednesday. We have the potential for heavy rain since we remain under a tropical airmass. Conditions will become more comfortable on the backside of the front. Temperatures may even drop a few degrees below normal.
