StormTracker Team…Plan on another day with high heat and high humidity thanks to that stubborn upper-level ridge. Good news is that the ridge will begin to weaken. Temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 90s. Baton Rouge’s record high is 96°F from 1904. A few showers or thunderstorms will be possible, but most areas won’t see a drop of rain. The rain chance today is around 20-30%. A weak front will pass through the area on Friday before stalling out. A few showers will be possible with that front, but again, most areas will stay dry. Rain chance is around 20-30%. Expect hot and mostly sunny conditions on Saturday with a 5-10% chance for rain. By Sunday, rain chance jumps slightly to around 20%. Another front will sweep through the area on Monday and this front will likely trigger scattered showers and storms. Rain chance will be around 40% on Monday. A cooler and drier air mass will settle into the area by Monday night and Tuesday morning. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low to mid-80s. In the meantime, remember those heat safety tips!
