StormTracker Team Forecast…It’s almost hard to believe that we were shattering records just 24 hours ago. Our area is around 20-25° “warmer” than we were on Wednesday morning. The other difference is that we won’t see much (if any) sun today. We can expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with highs only in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Scattered light showers are possible. Rain chance is around 50%. Keep the umbrellas and coats on hand!
Rain and clouds will clear the area tonight, which will allow temperatures to fall into the mid and upper 30s. It is not likely, but some spots may wake up to patchy frost on Friday morning. Friday will be much nicer with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions and highs will be in the upper 50s. A light freeze may occur by Saturday morning as temperatures drop into the lower 30s. Be sure to protect your plants and pets!
This weekend will be quite lovely with temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Bundle up if you’re heading to the polls early on Saturday, but thankfully, we will see mostly sunny skies on Saturday. Skies will become partly sunny by Sunday.
If you’re traveling to Oxford for the Ole Miss vs LSU game, be sure to pack warm clothes. Temperatures will be in the 40s at kickoff and will fall into the 30s toward the end of the game.
If you’re sick of the cold weather already, there is a warm-up next week – highs will be in the 60s and 70s.
