StormTracker Morning Forecast…
Today & Tonight: Wrap-around moisture associated with the departing low pressure system will likely lead to cloudy skies and some nuisance drizzle. Afternoon temperatures will only be in the 40s and 50s. Overnight temperatures will be in the upper 30s.
Friday: Much colder with highs only in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Clouds and sun. Overnight temperatures in the low and mid 30s. Light freeze possible.
Weekend: Chilly this weekend with highs only in the 40s and 50s. Partly cloudy on Saturday, becoming mostly cloudy on Sunday. Rain chances return Sunday and Sunday night. Currently, rain chance is around 30% during the day and 50% at night, but we will need to adjust accordingly as it gets closer. We will have to watch the position of the low pressure system, timing of the rain, available moisture, and timing of the arrival of colder air. Depending on these factors, this could bring wintry precipitation to portions of Louisiana. Best opportunity for that looks to be north of I-10/I-12. Way too soon to talk specifics. It’s only something to watch for now. Stay tuned!
Monday: Cold rain with highs only in the 40s. Watching for the winter weather potential.
Next Week: Cold to start, but temperatures will regulate back into the lower 60s by the end of the work week.
