StormTracker Team Forecast…You can expect areas of dense fog this morning, but it should not be an issue later this morning. There is a Dense Fog Advisory in effect through 9:00 A.M.. Add extra time to your commute and use your low beams! Also, be sure to grab the umbrellas before hitting the road. Scattered showers and isolated storms are possible ahead of a cold front, which arrives tonight. Rain chance is around 40-50%. Otherwise, expect cloudy skies with highs topping out in the upper 70s. Once the front pushes through, temperatures will drop. We will likely hit our high for the day at midnight and wake up to temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Temperatures will likely struggle to warm much on Friday.
We will be waking up to temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s on Saturday morning. Overall, we have a nice weekend in store for us. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the 60s. Another front will move in on Veterans Day and bring much colder, Arctic air. Showers are possible and temperatures will drop rapidly into the mid and upper 30s by Tuesday morning. High temperatures will likely only be in the 40s on Tuesday and by Wednesday morning, temperatures may be in the 20s & 30s. Our first freeze of the season may occur, but it’s too early to know for sure. Be sure to stay tuned!
If you’re heading up to Tuscaloosa for the big LSU vs Alabama game this weekend, be sure to pack for chilly weather! If you’re planning on traveling on Thursday, you may run into some showers and storms, which may lead to some travel delays. If you’re hitting the road on Friday, you likely won’t run into many weather-related issues, except that it may be a bit windy at times during the morning hours. Tailgating time will be chilly with temperatures in the 40s and 50s, but you won’t have to worry about rain! Kickoff temperature will be in the upper 50s, but that’s the warmest it will be, so again, dress accordingly because it will only get chilly again – temperatures will drop into the 40s toward the end of the game. Geaux Tigers!
