Today: It has been a pleasant start to the day, but it’s going to get hot. Highs will rise into the mid 90s, but heat indices will be almost 10 degrees higher. Expect plenty of sunshine, and remember to practice heat safety! Winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 mph. High near 95.
Tonight: Clear conditions will continue through the night. Lows will fall into the mid 70s, which is above average, and it will be muggy. Winds will be light out of the east. Low near 75.
Extended: Tomorrow will be another hot day, but there is the chance for isolated storms in the afternoon. This depends on the timing of an easterly wave located near the Bahamas. It is expected to move near the Florida panhandle, and once that happens, we’ll see increased rain chances. Unfortunately, we are in for a wet weekend, and storms will likely continue into the upcoming workweek. There will be the potential for flooding, so make sure to stay weather aware.
