StormTracker Forecast…South Louisiana is most definitely feeling the effects of the cold front this morning! We are all sitting in the 50s and 60s under mostly cloudy skies on this Thursday morning. Mostly cloudy skies will persist throughout the day and some areas may struggle to get out of the 60s today. Another cool and crisp night ahead with temperatures in the mid-50s. We introduce a slight chance for a few showers on Friday, but nothing widespread. Of course, this is all contingent on what happens in the tropics. If Invest 96L tracks more toward the west, our rain chances would be higher, but as of now, model guidance shows a more eastward track. If the system does take a more eastward track, our weekend would be mostly dry and mild with temperatures in the low and mid-80s. We will keep you posted.
Another cold front swings through Monday night and into Tuesday. Rain chances spike to around 70% Monday and then we cool back down into the 50s by Tuesday morning. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s will return on Tuesday!
