StormTracker Morning Forecast…
Today: The front we’ve been tracking this week will begin to lift back to the north today, which means it will bring very warm, moist air with it. This will pave the path for more rain activity in the coming days as a summer-like pattern will begin to set up. In the meantime, we will see patchy fog this morning before clouds begin to gradually clear this morning. A stray shower cannot be ruled out, but the rain chance is less than 10%. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The heat indices will be in the mid to upper 90s, potentially.
Tonight: Clouds increase and areas of fog will develop by morning. Overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Friday: Tropical moisture will continued to be pulled in from the Gulf. Rain chances will be around 30% during the afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 80s to around 90. Overnight temperatures in the lower 70s.
Saturday: Rain chances increase slightly to around 40% to 50% as deep tropical moisture continues to be pulled in from the Gulf. Heavy rain and gusty wind will be possible with any stronger storm that develops. Storms will be diurnally-driven, which means we’ll have better chances for rain during the afternoon and early evening going forward. High near 88. Overnight temperatures around 71.
Sunday: Rain chances are around 50% to 60%. It won’t be a washout, but we’ll see scattered showers and storms, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rain and gusty wind will be possible with any stronger storm that develops. Otherwise, sun, clouds, and a high near 87.
Memorial Day: Scattered to numerous showers and storms, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rain and gusty wind will be possible with any stronger storm that develops. It won’t be an all-day rain, but rain coverage will be higher than the weekend, thanks to an upper-level low and approaching system. Rain chance is around 60%. Otherwise, we’ll see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 80s. Have a “plan b” for any outdoor activities. Be ready to head indoors if a storm finds you.
Tuesday: Rain chances continue to be quite elevated thanks to the upper-level low and an approaching front from the west. We’ll see clouds and sun with highs in the mid 80s. Scattered to numerous showers and storms. Rain chance is around 60%.
Wednesday: Rain chances will continue to be elevated. Rain chance is around 40-50%, which may have to be adjusted in the coming days.
