StormTracker Forecast…Pack the rain gear and give yourself some extra time for commuting this morning! You can expect numerous to widespread showers and isolated storms this morning through the early afternoon hours. Rain coverage will taper this afternoon as dry air wraps around the passing system. Spotty showers are still expected this afternoon through early evening, but most will be drying out by that point. Rain will come to an end this evening as a cold front passes. Additional rainfall totals look to be around 0.50″ to 1.25″ with isolated higher amounts. The night will begin mostly cloudy then skies will become partly cloudy by morning.
Friday morning will be chilly as temperatures dip into the low and mid 40s. Sunny to mostly sunny skies are expected on Friday and temperatures will rebound into the lower 60s by the afternoon. Temperatures will fall back into the upper 30s by Saturday morning.
We will start the weekend on a sunny and cool note before clouds build late on Saturday ahead of a developing system in the western Gulf of Mexico.
Rain chances ramp up to around 50-60% on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday will be warmer and mostly dry. We will be watching for another developing system next week.
