StormTracker Forecast…Showers have ended this morning as a slow-moving cold front tracks to our east. We may see some breaks in the clouds, but clouds will likely fill back in and linger. Also, temperatures will not warm up much throughout the day. Afternoon temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s. Skies will clear tonight and temperatures will dip into the low and mid-30s by Friday morning. A brief light freeze or frost will be possible for some of the area – mainly for areas along and north and east of the I-10/I-12 corridor.
Friday: Friday will be sunny, seasonal, and spectacular! Afternoon temperatures will top out in the lower 60s. Moisture gradually increases late on Friday, which means a bit more cloud cover will be in place and overnight temperatures won’t be as cold.
Weekend & Next Week: A weak front will pass through the region on Saturday. Skies will become partly to mostly cloudy and a stray shower will be possible. Thankfully, most will stay dry. It will be a touch warmer on Sunday. Highs will be in the lower 70s and clouds will begin to increase ahead of another system. Rain will begin to move in late Sunday and early Monday morning. The next rainmaker may even stall out over the region, which would increase our rain chances. It’s quite possible that we will see rain every day next week. Stay tuned — we will be watching the models very carefully in the coming days.
