StormTracker Forecast…High pressure will rule our weather pattern for the next several days, which is great news if you have any outdoor plans in the coming days! We’ve got a beautiful stretch of weather lasting all the way through the weekend. Thursday will be sunny, yet a bit chilly. High temperatures will top out in the mid 50s. A light freeze will be possible for areas north and east of the Baton Rouge metro. Clear skies and a light wind will lead to the development of some frost early Friday morning. Overnight temperatures will dip into the mid 30s for most. Be sure to protect your plants and bring the pets indoors.
Friday will be pleasant and warmer. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the mid 60s, which is near-seasonal. Another sunny to mostly sunny day on Saturday with even warmer conditions. Highs will top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s. High pressure will begin to track to the east and break down a bit, allowing for more moisture to move into the area ahead of our next system. Sunday will still be pleasant, but it will be more humid and more clouds will dot the sky.
Rain chances return starting on Monday, but the best chance for rain will be late Tuesday through early Wednesday morning. As of now, it is unknown if severe weather will be a threat with this next system or not. Be sure to stay tuned!
