Thursday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy today. Winds begin to pick up out of the east and southeast, which means temperatures and dew points will start to go up. A coastal shower cannot be ruled out. High near 76.
Tonight: Mainly clear with some patchy fog by morning. Overnight temperature near 54. Some spots may drop into the upper 40s, but most stay in the 50s.
Friday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with a coastal shower or two. Highs in the upper 70s to around 80. Overnight temperatures in the 50s for most.
Weekend: Partly cloudy skies. High temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80. A coastal shower is possible on Saturday. Rain chance is around 20% on Sunday for the Baton Rouge metro.
Next Week: A weak cold front will pass through the area Sunday/Monday. This will knock our temperatures down a few degrees. It may stall out to our south, which would lead to slight rain chances on Monday and Tuesday before a stronger cold front moves in on Wednesday. This would lead to higher rain chances Tuesday night/Wednesday. Timing may change.
Thanksgiving: We should be mostly dry and near-seasonal on Thanksgiving. Currently, highs are forecast to be in the low and mid 70s. There could possibly be a stronger front the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Tracking the Tropics: Two areas are being monitored by the NHC. Both have low chances for now. No threat to our area.
