StormTracker Morning Forecast…
Today: Patchy morning fog. Partly cloudy this afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. A few showers are possible late as a cold front approaches our area from the northwest.
Tonight: Cold front will pass through. Clouds will linger and winds will pick up. A few showers are possible. Low near 59.
Friday: Cold front should move offshore during the morning hours. Breezy. Clouds may linger and lead to temperatures in the lower 70s for most of our area. Mid 70s are expected for areas closer to the coast and toward the New Orleans metro. Some western and northwestern zones may not even get out of the 60s. A few early showers are possible. Overnight temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Weekend: Beautiful weekend with highs in the mid 70s on Saturday and highs in the lower 80s on Sunday. Low humidity on Saturday before it begins to increase on Sunday. Still comfortable, however. Overnight temperatures will be in the 50s on Saturday night and 60s Sunday night.
Extended: Rain chances increase a bit on Monday, but more so on Tuesday and Wednesday as a few disturbances pass by. Climate Prediction Center calls for near or above-normal temperatures next week. For now, we are forecasting highs in the mid 80s. Morning temperatures may be above-normal in the 60s rather than the 50s.
Tracking the Tropics: We are watching a few areas in the tropics. Invest 93L only has a 10% chance. Also, we will have to watch for development next week in the west-central Caribbean. No imminent threat, but this is a friendly reminder that there is still a lot of time left in hurricane season. Next names on the list are Epsilon and Zeta, respectively.
