Tracking the Tropics: Sam developed in the open Atlantic. Currently, it does not appear to be a threat to the United States – at least not within the next 7-10 days. There are three other areas that are being watched by the National Hurricane Center. No imminent threats to our area, but remember, we are still in the heart of hurricane season.
