Extended – We’re socked into a warm and muggy pattern through the weekend. Daytime highs will reach the 80s for Saturday and Sunday putting temperatures nearly 15° above average. Each day, we have the possibility for a few light showers as a frontal boundary remains parked across the northern half of the state. Heavy rain is possible at times but mainly for central and northern Louisiana. The threat for rain climbs by Monday. Even a few thunderstorms are possible as a cold front moves through the city. Temperatures will slide closer to average by Tuesday and Wednesday.
