Tonight: Clouds will clear and temperatures will drop down into the 20s and 30s. A Hard Freeze Warning is in effect for West Feliciana, East Feliciana, St. Helena, northern Tangipahoa, Washington, portions of St. Tammany parishes and Wilkinson, Amite, Pike, Walthall, Pearl River, and Hancock counties from 10 PM Thursday to 8 AM Friday. A Freeze Warning is in effect for the I-10/I-12 corridor. Temperatures will be at or below freezing for several hours and this can lead to damage if proper precautions are not taken. Make sure you protect people, pets, and plants. A pipe freeze is unlikely, but just to be safe, areas in the Hard Freeze Warning may want to protect outdoor plumbing.
Friday: Sunshine to start the day, but clouds will return later in the day. Showers are possible late in the evening. High temperatures will be in the mid and upper 50s on Friday thanks to more sunshine in place. Overnight temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s.
This Weekend: Another front will clear the area by Saturday and light showers are possible but the best chance would be near and south of the I-10/I-12 and closer to the coast. Highs will be in the low and mid 50s. Overnight temperatures will be in the 30s again.
Next Week Outlook: Temperatures look to moderate into the 60s next week and leading up to Thanksgiving. For now, Thanksgiving Day temperatures could be in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. A storm system may pass through the area on Thanksgiving Day. Stay tuned.
