Sunday: It’s going to be quite cold and windy on Sunday as the system departs the area. As it does so, some additional moisture may cause some flurries to fly in the morning; however, we are not anticipating any accumulations this far south. Obviously, if this changes, we will let you know. Flurries will be more possible in Southwest Mississippi. Accumulated snowfall will be closer to I-20 and to the north/northeast.

Clouds will likely linger for most of the day, making it feel even colder. High temperatures will only be in the mid and upper 40s for most areas. Overnight temperatures will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s. A light freeze is expected overnight and Monday morning. Protect people, pets, plants, and practice fire safety!

Next Week: Cool and dry to start the work week. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s Monday and Tuesday. Highs may even be near 70 degrees on Wednesday. Rain chances increase Wednesday and Thursday ahead of yet another cold front.
