Tonight: Showers should begin to taper this evening, but there may be an isolated shower overnight. Some areas of patchy fog by morning. Morning low near 69.
Friday: Scattered showers and storms are possible– mainly west of I-55. Best chance for any rain will be during the afternoon and early evening. Highs will be in the mid 80s. Overnight temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Saturday: Spotty to scattered showers and storms are possible. Best chance for any rain will be during the afternoon, which means you could be dodging a few showers during tailgate time. Otherwise, we’ll see partly sunny skies with highs in the mid 80s. We should be mostly dry for an 8 pm kickoff against Auburn, but bring the rain jacket just in case. Temperatures will be in the 70s during the game.
Sunday: Higher rain chances arrive on Sunday ahead of an approaching front. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are likely. Heavy rain will be possible. Highs will be in the low and mid 80s.
Next Week: Scattered rain on Monday and then spotty rain on Tuesday. A cold front will likely move through Monday or Tuesday. Models do not agree on the intensity of this front. Highs in the lower 80s and mornings in the lower 60s. We are mostly dry and nicer by Wednesday and Thursday.
Tracking the Tropics: Sam is forecast to curve out to sea, thankfully. Tropical Storm Victor will likely become a hurricane, but it will stay out to sea. Next name on the list is Wanda and then we would have to move to the supplemental list. The Greek alphabet has been retired after the 2020 season.
