Tonight: Rain should fade later tonight, but a couple of showers will still be possible overnight, but more so near the coast. Morning temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
Friday: A couple of showers are possible, but most will stay dry. Weak cold front will bring some relief. It won’t be as humid but still very hot and dangerous for those without power.
Weekend: Mornings will be a touch cooler in the upper 60s to lower 70s. We’ll have plenty of sunshine with only a slight chance for showers. Highs will be in the lower 90s.
Next Week: Spotty showers and storms with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 – a fairly typical late summer weather pattern.
Tracking the Tropics: Larry is now a hurricane in the open Atlantic. It will likely curve out to sea, but this could change. There is a weak area of low pressure in the Caribbean, but it has a low chance of development. Still bears watching. No imminent threats to Louisiana as of right now.
