Tomorrow – Clouds build. Tropical system approaches the coast. Heavy rain and windy Friday night. Highs near 88.
Extended – A tropical depression or storm will likely form tonight or early Friday. The current track is set for Louisiana with a landfall Friday night. Right now, the greatest impacts will be east of the center. Winds will range from 25-35 mph with gusts reaching 45 mph. Rain totals will average 2-4″ with some local higher amounts. If the track shifts back west, rain totals would climb to 5-7″. Some localized flash flooding is possible. System will quickly vacate by Sunday. Showers and storms stick around for much of next week.
