A Tornado Watch has been issued for Pointe Coupee, West and East Feliciana, St. Helena parishes in Louisiana and Amite, Wilkinson counties in Mississippi until 6 PM Tuesday evening. This particular watch does NOT include Baton Rouge, but a new watch may be issued by Tuesday afternoon.

A Watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms to develop. A Warning means to take action immediately because a tornado has either been radar indicated or spotted.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind in excess of 60-70 mph, large hail, and tornadoes will all be possible.
