Tropical Depression Five is now Tropical Storm Edouard. This is the earliest fifth named storm for the Atlantic Basin on record. The storm is expected to become port-tropical tomorrow. The system has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, and it is tracking northeastward and well away from the United States.
The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season has been very busy. Fortunately, we’ve only dealt with weak systems or ones that have stayed over the ocean. Be reminded that it only takes one. Have a plan in place, and stay safe this hurricane season.
