Hurricane Isaias made landfall in southern North Carolina around 11:10 PM EDT near Ocean Isle Beach, with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph.

Isaias is 5th named storm of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season to make landfall in the continental US. Bertha, Cristobal, Fay & Hanna made landfall too. This is the earliest on record that 5 Atlantic named storms have made continental US landfall. Prior record was 8/18/1916.
