The experts at Colorado State University adjusted their original forecast from April. They are now calling for a 2018 Atlantic hurricane season with average activity. In April, the forecast was for a slightly above average season. As of today, the outlook is now 14 named storms (includes Alberto), 6 hurricanes, and 2 major hurricanes (category 3 or higher). El Nino is not anticipated to be significant. That’s the main reason for the change.
