The National Hurricane Center is watching a tropical wave located in the eastern Caribbean. Over the next few days the storm is forecast to move west-northwestward across the north-central Caribbean. This will produce heavy rainfall and possible flooding across Puerto Rice and Hispaniola.
Due to the interaction with land little development is expected. However, once the system moves back into open water and closer to Florida conditions may be a little more conducive for development.
