Tropical Storm Imelda made landfall near Freeport, TX. Gradual weakening is forecasted overnight into Wednesday.

Tropical storm warnings have been issued for the Texas Coast from Sargent to Port Bolivar. Tropical storm winds are currently on-going.

Life-threatening flash flooding will be the greatest threat from Imelda as the system slowly pushes inland. Rain totals could reach well over 5″ in some locations. Roadways could become inundated near the Houston area. Locally, expect some heavy pockets of rain mainly in spurts.
