StormTracker Forecast…A Freeze Warning continues for the entire area until 9:00 A.M. this morning. Thankfully, sunshine will rule the forecast once again today. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Another light freeze will be likely for areas along and north of I-10/I-12 corridor tonight and into Wednesday morning as temperatures drop into the lower 30s for these areas; however, areas south of I-10 will likely only cool to around 33°F-35°F as clouds build into the region. You will still want to take precautions and protect your plants and all animals. Bring all pets indoors or provide a warm and dry shelter for them.
Skies become cloudy to mostly cloudy late tonight and into Wednesday, all ahead of our next system. Temperatures will be a touch warmer in the low and mid-50s on Wednesday. Our area will not drop below freezing Wednesday night and Thursday morning; however, there will be rain in the area. Rain chances ramp up as the next storm system moves into the area. Periods of showers are likely Thursday morning through Thursday evening. An isolated storm cannot be ruled out, but as of now, organized severe weather is not anticipated. Rain totals appear to be around 0.50″ to 1.00″.
Dry air will wrap around the system, causing rain chances to drop rapidly Thursday night and Friday. Skies are expected to clear on Friday, making way for a pleasant and seasonal weekend. We will be watching for a stronger system next week.
