Today: An upper-level low will be sitting over the Carolinas for a few days, which will keep us mainly dry and hot. Also, a “backdoor” cold front will push into the area today. This will bring slightly drier air to Southeast Louisiana. A shower or two may be possible this afternoon, but most will stay dry. Best chance for rain will be in Acadiana. Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 90s.
Tonight: Mainly clear with temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s.
Wednesday: It will be slightly less humid, which will make the afternoon a touch more tolerable. High temperature near 91. We continue to stay dry. Overnight temperature will be near 69.
Thursday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the lower 90s. A stray shower cannot be ruled out. Overnight temperature around 70.
Friday: The upper-level low will begin to lift to the northeast, which will allow a trough to approach the region, which will begin to pull more Gulf moisture back into the region. High temperature near 93. Rain chance is around 10%.
Saturday: Hot and a touch more humid with a few pop-up showers and storms. Rain chance is around 10-20%. High near 93.
Father’s Day: Rain chance is currently around 30%. High temperature right around 92.
Monday: Showers and storms are possible. Rain chance is around 40% for now. High near 90.
