Tuesday-Thursday: Sunny skies take over the middle of the week with strong heat. Highs will be in the upper-80s today, then breaking into the low-90s on Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows dip only to around 70 each night.
Friday: Spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible as we end the week with highs in the mid-80s. Severe weather will get churned out from this system to our north, with some of it possibly reaching our area, especially for our northwest parishes which are under a slight (level 2 out of 5) risk for severe weather.
Weekend: We dry out again this weekend with sunshine returning. Temperatures reach the upper-80s on Saturday and top off in the low-90s again on Sunday. The heat becomes even more pronounced next week as highs could soar into the mid-90s.
