Tuesday: Tuesday marks the first day of Summer! The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year (more daylight hours on Tuesday than any other day of the year). Highs will return to the upper-90s.
Wednesday-Friday: If you thought the week started hot, get ready for later this week. Highs through the middle-to-later half of the week have the potential to reach 99 to 102 degrees with full sunshine. This would mark the first 100-degree heat of the season and could tie or break some daily record values. This is all thanks to a strong ridge of high pressure blocking out any chance of rain, clouds or cooler temperatures.
Next Weekend: The heat is showing no signs of stopping this weekend so expect more upper-90s to around 100-degree heat with mostly dry conditions.
Monday: We may finally see some relief next week as clouds increase, spotty rain chances return and highs stay limited in the mid-90s.
Tracking the Tropics: No tropical development is expected in the next 5 days.
