Today & Tonight: We’ll wake up to cloud cover and even some light rain before it gradually clears. Plenty of sunshine by the afternoon with highs in the mid and upper 70s. A cold front will move in late tonight/Wednesday morning. Overnight temperature near 49°F.
Wednesday: Wednesday will be the coolest day of the week thanks to the cold front. We’ll see plenty of sunshine and it will be a bit breezy. Highs will be in the upper 60s. Overnight temperatures in the low and mid 40s.
Thursday: We’ll see plenty of sun for most of the day. Clouds will gradually begin to return late on Thursday ahead of our next system, which is set to arrive Friday night/Saturday. Highs in the lower 70s. Overnight temperatures in the mid 50s.
Friday & Weekend: Mostly cloudy and mild with highs in the mid and upper 70s. Storms will arrive Friday and into at least the first half of Saturday. Heavy rain will possible Friday and Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted portions of southern Louisiana under a Slight Risk (threat level 2 of 5) for severe weather Friday and Saturday. We may have to watch for two rounds of severe storms – late Friday/early Saturday and then possibly again Saturday afternoon. Stay tuned!
