StormTracker Morning Forecast…
Today: More clouds will be in place as winds begin to shift out of the east and southeast. Breezy day ahead with winds between 5 and 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Humidity will creep up, as well. Highs in the low and mid 80s. Overnight temps will be in mid 60s.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with overnight temps in the mid 60s. Wind will be light.
Wednesday: Gulf moisture continues to gradually increase and we will begin to enter a more early summer-like weather pattern. A few showers may develop west of I-55, but for now, we are keeping rain chances to around 20%. Highs in the mid 80s. Overnight temperatures in the mid 60s.
Thursday: The early summer-like pattern will be the story going forward. We will likely see warm and humid conditions and showers and storms developing in the afternoon due to daytime heating, Gulf moisture, and a seabreeze. Rain chance is around 50-60%. Although organized severe weather is not anticipated, we could see a few strong storms. High near 84. Overnight temperatures in the upper 60s.
Friday: Clouds and sunshine with highs in the mid 80s. Scattered to numerous showers and isolated storms can be expected. Rain chance is currently around 50-60%.
Weekend: Rain chances may be a touch lower on Saturday, but overall, the same situation – clouds and sun with highs in the mid 80s and afternoon showers and isolated storms. An upper level low may begin to wobble in from the west starting on Sunday, but it is too early to talk specifics. We will have to watch closely for where this upper level low sets up. Where it sets up could mean heavy rain and severe weather. For now, model guidance keeps it more to our west. We will be watching closely. All in all, that may increase rain chances a bit more on Sunday. Currently, rain chances will be around 40% on Saturday and 50% on Sunday and Monday.
Next Week: Daily rain chances continue with highs in the mid and possibly upper 80s.
