Tracking the Tropics: Eta is expected to slowly strengthen before moving north. Current path has it moving toward the northern Gulf Coast as a weakening system by the weekend; However, NHC stresses that there is low confidence in the track forecast and their official track may change. If it were to track more west, thankfully, it would likely get sheared to bits. Theta has developed, which means 2020 season is now the most active season on record with 29 named storms. Also, Iota may develop in the Caribbean. No imminent threats, but we’re watching of course!
