Today: A FREEZE WARNING remains in effect for areas around Baton Rouge and to the south until 10am due to subfreezing temperatures. The WARNING is upgraded to a HARD FREEZE WARNING for parishes and counties north of Baton Rouge. Keep the plants covered and keep the pets indoors. This afternoon we should reach the upper-50s but it will still be a cold and brisk day. It will remain mostly sunny. Overnight lows will be well above freezing thanks to increasing cloud cover. Tonight will see lows near 45 degrees.
Wednesday: The warming trend continues on Wednesday with highs near 70 degrees. Dry weather remains with partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will also be much warmer, near 55 degrees.
Thursday: A cold front will push through Thursday limiting highs to the mid-60s and bringing a few showers with breezy conditions. Overnight temperatures could drop below freezing after the cold front by a few degrees.
Friday: It will be much colder due to the cold front on Thursday with highs Friday in the low-50s and mostly sunny skies.
Weekend: Warmer & wetter weather looks to move in for the weekend before a cold front Sunday leads to a cooler start next week.
