Tonight: Any rain that is out there this evening will fade after sunset or shortly thereafter and we’re mostly quiet overnight. Morning temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
Wednesday: Passing showers and storms at times. Storms may produce downpours, gusty wind, and lightning. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Rain chance is around 40-50% on Wednesday
Thursday – Weekend: Higher storm chances on Thursday. Storms may produce downpours, gusty wind, and lightning. Ridge of high pressure will keep things generally on the dry side and very hot. We may not be totally dry Friday and the weekend, but rain coverage will be significantly lower. Highs will be in the mid 90s. That same ridge should keep Grace away from our area.
Next Week: Hot with spotty storms. Highs in the mid and upper 90s.
Tracking the Tropics: Grace is forecast to track toward the Yucatan and then toward Mexico. Henri also developed in the open Atlantic near Bermuda. Both storms are forecast to become hurricanes. No imminent threats to Louisiana.
