UPDATE (6 PM): The Tornado Watch has been cancelled for the Baton Rouge metro.
What’s Next: A cold front will pass through the area before daybreak on Thursday. This front will bring much cooler and drier weather to our area. Cloud cover will likely wrap back around into the area thanks to the upper-level storm system in the region. Strong winds will pick up in wake of the front Thursday and Friday and this will bring much cooler and drier air to the Gulf Coast. Expect frequent gusts over 30 mph on Thursday and frequent gusts over 20 mph on Friday.
