Tonight: Mostly clear skies with calm winds. Lows near 72°.
Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds with storms developing late morning and lasting through the afternoon. Highs near 90° with winds out of the east at 5-10 mph.
Extended: The “cool” weather was nice while it lasted, but we’re back to reality with the sizzling Louisiana summer heat! Starting Saturday our dew points will sit back in the mid 70’s allowing our “feel-like” temperatures to climb. Over the weekend we’ll increase our chances for daily afternoon storms during those peek heating hours, some of which could really pack the punch and produce brief heavy downpours. Our rain chances will increase Monday through Wednesday as a short wave trough moves through allowing for widespread storms with gusty winds and frequent lightning. We’ll settle back into a normal weather pattern by the end of next week with highs in the low 90’s a slight rain chances.
