Today: Overcast skies with a slight chance for showers throughout the day and winds out of the south at 5-10 mph. Highs near 72°.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies with a slight rain chance. Lows near 66° with winds out of the south at 5 mph.
Extended: Saturday will start off mostly cloudy and mild with temperatures warming up close to 80°. Our storm chances will increase Saturday evening into Sunday as a front approaches from the west bringing a squall line through the southeast. As of now the Storm Prediction Center has localtions north of the I10/12 corridor under a marginal risk and those parishes south of Baton Rouge, including New Orleans, under a general thunderstorm risk. Although we’re on the lower end of the scale in terms of severity it’s import to stay weather aware through the weekend.
