Tonight: Any rain that is out there this evening will fade after sunset and we’re mostly quiet overnight. Morning temperatures will be in the low and mid 70s.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Passing showers and storms at times. Storms may produce downpours, gusty wind, and lightning. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Rain chance is around 40% on Tuesday and 50% on Wednesday.
Thursday – Weekend: Higher storm chances on Thursday. Rain coverage should be a bit lower Friday and the weekend. Highs will be in the low and mid 90s thanks to a building ridge in place. That same ridge should keep Grace away from our area.
Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Storm Fred made landfall near Apalachicola on Monday.
Tropical Depression Grace is forecast to track near Jamaica and then eventually toward the Yucatan and then toward Mexico. If it survives all of the land interaction, it can and will intensify. Too early to tell what happens in the long run, but it will likely stay to the south and west of us.
Tropical Storm Henri also developed in the open Atlantic near Bermuda.
