Tonight: Partly cloudy skies overnight with showers possible before 10 p.m. Lows near 73° with winds out of the southwest at 5 mph.
Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds early before storms develop late morning through the afternoon. Storms have the potential to produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds and frequent lightning. Highs near 89° with winds out of the southwest at 5 mph.
Extended: We’ll continue our typical summertime pattern with hot temperatures in the low 90’s and daily thunderstorms. Tuesday will be our best chance for widespread heavy rainfall as a frontal boundary sinks south through the Baton Rouge area. The boundary will push through and sit off the coast for a few days fueling our storm chances Wednesday through Friday.
