Extended: We’re settled into a typical summer pattern with highs in the 90’s, feel-like temperatures in the triple digits, and afternoon scattered storms. This pattern will follow us through the rest of the week with slightly lower rain chances on Friday, only a 20% chance. Starting late Friday night into Saturday morning, another shortwave will move into southeast Louisiana increasing our storms chances. We’ll sit at a 40%-50% chance for storms through the weekend with highs in the mid to low 90’s.
