Severe Weather Alert: Severe weather threat increases overnight

Weather Talk

The StormTracker Team continues to watch our chances for severe weather very closely over the next 24 hours. We’re tracking an approaching cold front that will move in from the northwest overnight tonight into the early morning hours Thursday.

This storm system has the potential to produce severe weather which is why the Storm Prediction Center has placed our entire viewing area under an Enhanced Risk overnight tonight into Thursday. This indicates that the storm is capable of producing damaging winds, hail, heavy rainfall, and even the chance for isolated tornadoes.

Here’s what you need to know:

When: Midnight tonight through 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

Concerns: Strong damaging winds, hail, heavy rainfall, and isolated tornadoes.

Be Prepared: Make sure you have more than one way to receive warning information like a NOAA weather radio, weather app, cell phone alerts and right here on brproud.com. The Stormtracker Team will be covering the storm and will update you on air, online, and across all social media platforms.
