Today: Expect scattered showers and storms mainly after noon. The chance of precipitation is 50%, and the day is not expected to be a washout. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Heat indices will be close to the triple digits. Winds will be easterly at 5-10 mph. High near 90.
Tonight: It will be a mostly dry night with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at 5-10 mph. Low near 72.
Extended: The soggy pattern will continue as we close out the week. Highs will be in the upper 80s tomorrow and on Friday. We could see spotty storms tomorrow afternoon, but Friday will be a better chance for rain and storms as a cold front pushes south. There could be heavy rain at times. Highs only will be in the mid 80s on Saturday and Sunday with scattered storms on both days. It does not look like the Fourth of July will be a washout, but there could be afternoon and evening showers and storms. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s as the workweek begins, and we’ll still be dealing with rain.
