Tracking the Tropics: Hurricane Sally made landfall in Gulf Shores as a Category 2 storm. It brought over 15-25″ of rain to Southwest Alabama and Northwest Florida. There is an area of low pressure in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico that will need to be watched for formation in the coming days. A wave off the coast of Africa has a high chance for formation through the next 5 days. We will be watching.
