StormTracker Team Forecast…Grab the light jackets this morning, but you won’t need them later this morning. Another seasonably warm and dry day is in store for us before a strong cold front moves into the area on Thursday. Ahead of the front, scattered to possibly numerous showers and isolated storms can be expected on Thursday. The front is expected to move through late on Thursday, but lingering moisture will lead to some spotty showers through Friday morning. Temperatures will only be in the 50s on Friday. The 30s return by Friday night/Saturday morning!
We remain dry throughout the weekend and temperatures will be in the 60s. Another front moves in on Veterans Day. The second front may bring us even colder temperatures by Tuesday and Wednesday. Model guidance shows highs in the 40s and 50s and lows in the lower 30s. If this plays out, it would be the first freeze of the season. Stay tuned as we fine-tune the forecast!

If you’re heading up to Tuscaloosa for the big LSU vs Alabama game this weekend, be sure to pack for chilly weather! If you’re planning on traveling on Thursday, you may run into some showers and storms, which may lead to some travel delays. If you’re hitting the road on Friday, you likely won’t run into many weather-related issues, except that it may be a bit windy at times. Tailgating time will be chilly with temperatures in the 40s and 50s, but you won’t have to worry about rain! Kickoff temperature will be around 57°F, but that’s the warmest it will be, so again, dress accordingly because it will only get chilly again – temperatures will drop into the 40s toward the end of the game. Geaux Tigers!
