Today & Tonight: Storms early this morning before the cold front finally pushes further to the south. Storms will become more coastal by the afternoon. We could see some clearing this afternoon with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Overnight temperature near 59.
Thursday: We finally start to clear out and dry out in Baton Rouge, but some coastal showers will be possible. High will be near 82, but it will be more comfortable thanks to drier air in place. Overnight temperature near 57.
Friday & Weekend: Nice and comfy on Friday and Saturday before it gradually gets warmer and a touch more humid. Highs in the low and mid 80s. Overnight temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Only a 20-30% chance for rain on Mother’s Day with a high near 87.
Next Week: The weather looks a bit unsettled as another system slowly moves toward the Gulf states. For now, we are forecasting a 40-50% chance for rain Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
